Bill Withers
When I look at you, And the world's all right with me, Just one look at you, And I know it's gonna be, A lovely day.
Lean on me, when you're not strong, And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on.
Lean on me when your not strong, and I'll be your friend. I'll help you carry on. For it won't be long 'til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on.
If there is a load you have to bear, That you can't carry, I'm right up the road, I'll share your load if you just call me.
I write and sing about whatever I am able to understand and feel.
I feel that it is healthier to look out at the world through a window than through a mirror. Otherwise, all you see is yourself and whatever is behind you.
An' this house just ain't no home, Anytime she goes away.
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, It's not warm when she's away, Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, And she's always gone too long, Anytime she goes away.
